  • Overview

People Movement - Los Angeles and Manhattan

This freely available dataset quantifies the density of daytime foot traffic in two major US cities on an average non-holiday week day during January and February 2017.

The data is represented as an aggregate count of unique persons walking at the geohash8 level (precision < 20 meters)--for all of Los Angeles and Manhattan.

The data includes both a visualization layer and a feature service data layer, allowing you to visualize people movement, as well as build your own analyses and queries.

The data is available both as a Web Map and as individual Feature Layers so you can import SafeGraph data into your own maps if desired.
