Show the Community: *Using Tableau for Bigger Data Analysis: What Happened with Movie Theater Visits in the Past Year?*

A while back I looked at visits to movie theaters across time. As everyone already knows, visits slowed to a screeching halt during the early days of the pandemic. Since then, things have slowly improved, but it hasn’t been every across the country. People in the south were much quicker to come back to movie theaters than other areas. In any event, this Medium post was mostly just to show doing the analysis in Tableau. Hey - thanks for sharing to the Community!

Just a thought, but I’d be curious to see how foot traffic to drive-in movie theatres compares to what you found in this article. In my area, drive-ins grew in popularity as some restrictions started to lift during the pandemic. Anecdotally, it seems like drive-in movie theatres are experiencing the opposite of traditional movie theatres. They’re probably more popular than before since they’re located outside and patrons can socially distance easier. Maybe a part two for this project? :eyes:
